Spirit-Health Connections was launched in 2008 by Templeton Press as a new way to provide free content to anyone interested in the intersection of health, wellness, and medicine with spirituality and religion.

This area of study is one of the pillars of the publishing program of the Templeton Press. It was founded in January 1997 as a program of the John Templeton Foundation, a nonprofit foundation established by Sir John Templeton. In the ten years since its inception, the Press has published dozens of titles relating to spirituality and health and more than one hundred books on other topics such as altruism, business and spirituality, character development, church history, forgiveness, inspirational virtues, public policy, and science and religion.
